Decent Rattle Bomb Brand?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by supercharged, Jul 4, 2013.

  1. Has anyone found a rattle bomb paint brand that has a decent spray nozzel that will not clog?

I hate damn spray cans that clog half way through a job or when the can is still full.

You are tipping them over every now and then and clearing them out, right? I hear this all the time yet I haven't had but 1 or 2 cans go bad on me ever. Ya gotta shake stuff up forever these days and I always, even in the heat of our summers warm the can in hot water for a good 1/2 hour before spraying. I do like rustoleum's appliance epoxy a bunch.

go to an aaron brother art and framing or a michaels and buy some graffitti tips. not only are they a high quality tip you can get different widths and patterns, like 8 bucks.

Who's telling you they are no good? If you follow the instructions on the label, you should be fine.

  18. Ive had a can of Seymore Cast Blast for over 15 years. Painted lots of different things with the same can. Always turned it upside down and sprayed it before putting it back on the shelf.
That reminds me, I need to get some another can or two. Anybody know where I can get some?

And I too like appliance epoxy spray bombs...

Turning the can over to clear the nozzle wastes propellant and paint.

Instead, simply pull off the nozzle and give it a tiny spritz of brake cleaner.

I dig the rustoleum 2x. It goes on nice and even and really works. Don't know how but it's like two cans in one.

  30. Being the frugal bastid that I am..here's a tip for ya...When I empty a rattle-can, I always take the tip off and throw them in a lidded glass jar with a little lacquer thinner..
The next time a can clogs up mid-spray, I got a supply of clean tips..
