After a long period away from the NW, the NSRA returned with its first NW Nats held in Ridgefield (Vancouver) Wa. Weather was hot for us locals but I believe it helped with the large turnout. There were cars probably from ten different states including long distance from NC. Never heard the actual count but for sure over 1500 and good chance it was over 2000. Park was difficult on Friday but got better on Saturday as new areas were opened up and things were better organized. I did like the one way cruise lap that circled the fairgrounds. Seen some cars that I had not seen for over a decade. Here is a link to my shots http://public.fotki.com/Boones/car_shows/2013-car-shows/1st-annual-nsra-nw-nats/ and some pictures from the event
It looks like Rolf really outdid himself. His second Model A coupe is gorgeous. That show sure had some great cars I've never seen. This needs to be on next year's must go list.
The white 55 is a friend's of ours. He has had it since '70. If I had less kids and more money I would be trying to talk him out of it. Great Coverage, thank you.
A Rodder, you couldn't have that car any way. You'd have to paint it green first! Boones, thanks for the excellent coverage.
Thanks for the coverage. Glad it was a success. Did anybody here how many cars were on the Road Show from Pueblo to Ridgefield?
Ken,,As always you knocked it outta the park with your photos. I especially like this one but you know I'm a sucker for a sweat Deuce! HRP
And.....you got some he didn't, so let's cross pollinate: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=813641 Good job as usual Ken.................even with the shameless self promo....
Rocket, your shots look great.. I saw the custom chevy (creme colored) rolling but never found it. also the black flammed 32 roadster sitting on the main stretch, I seen it down the way but took a turn down a side row and by the time I got back to that area it was gone.. It is hard to see and capture it all, some times the sun is in the wrong spot and you just never get back to the same place.. thanks for sharing. Rockguy, that vicky was one of my favorites of the show. My favorite being the red buick on narrow wires. I just love that thing
Thanks for posting the photo of my red primered '32 Ford five window. This was its maiden voyage. Left home with 29.4 miles on the odometer and returned with over 400 miles. The Ford Windser 351 and top loader never missed a beat.
