Anyone know if a 53/54 Plymouth frame will interchange with a 55/56?
Wheel base is 1 inch longer in 55 and the pedals come up from frame but other than that? Thanks
If someone has a shop manual for 53/54 with the frame dimensions they could scan that would be great.

The top mounting bolt pattern for the upper suspension arm is different in a 55/56 than what it is in an a 54 and earlier chassis

Do you know if the body mount positions and chassis the same from the firewall back?

I have a 55/56 workshop manual but nothing in the 53.54 range to make the comparison. I know that using the older style upper suspension arm set up is not much different in ride or geometry than the later one - why did they changed it? who knows!

I found a of frame dimensions in a post, it looks like it is fairly similar firewall back but 53,54 very narrow through front frame rails the 34 on 56 as opposed to 31 but width on first two body mounts are the same at 48 and 51. However I think it is going to be too narrow. Pity because there is a fellow selling a complete 54 frame all rebuilt right down to new tires for $100 yes one hundred dollars Canadian.
