Here are a few pictures of my 55 Chev. 2dr. Bel Air. Almost finished after 4 years in construction. Gary
Holy shit that's a ton of work! What's the hydraulic pump for? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Actually that looks more like an air pump (I noticed the accumulator and assume hydraulic). Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Crazy. I'd love to hear some details about the engine. Please educate this this dummy that I am. I'm guessing you already know you have a ton of talent.
Good to finally see it and looks like you have not lost your touch. Really liked your old/other cars the Willy's and other 55
I remember when the HAMB was all about traditional HOT RODS and custom cars. guess I'm the only one who gives a shit anymore. I sure miss those days.
I'm sorry if I have offended anyone with the pictures of the 55. I didn't realize that the HAMB was just for a certain kind/type of car. I can delete the thread if necessary. PS the engine is made in Italy by BPM Marine and they are primarily used in marine applications. The pump that you see is an electric power brake unit used because the engine came equipped with 6 48mm Weber carbs and we had no vacuum to run a PB unit. Gary
No reason to be sorry it is just like anything else in this world some will like somethings and others will not like the same thing. I see a lot of things I do not like on this board and other boards, I just move on others can't or choose not to do that.
Even though it doesn't fit in here on a traditional hot rod site, it is indeed an impressive build, but this thread will probably be closed soon.
Great car Gary, as the builder of one of my Favorite cars as a teen, It's nice to see what you've been up to, It's hard for some people to look at something a little different, you know, people that talk about mustang II front ends and air bags all day!
Very nice 55 Chevy I don't get all the fuss that others have posted. Car looks good, well built I am partial to 56's myself but really think you have a nice V12 Chev there.
What is so untraditional about it? Suicide doors were around since day one, Rally wheels came out in HAMB friendly years.
You should have read this when you signed up, it explains every thing. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44274 It's a nice car with a lot of work in it but does it fit here??
