Cleaning my aluminum intake manifold

    What product would you all recommend to clean my aluminum intake manifold which is still on the motor. I would prefer not to remove it since its all set up.
    Just trying to make the engine look nice.

    If you have done this before what did you use?

  2. Easy off oven cleaner but it will eat paint. HRP

    Yes I have read that some people use easy off but I don't want to risk ruining the paint. I wonder if any of those aluminum wheel cleaners work?

    I have used Eagle 1 Mag cleaner with success. Its milder than oven cleaner. It just depends how deep you need to clean.

    Not to deep but does have so fuel stains. Overall it's not that dirty just want to make it look better.

    Thank you for your suggestion.

    Keep them come if you have more suggestions :)

    A stiff brush and Simple Green.

    I use Aluminum Wheel cleaner on mine all the time! A stiff brush will take most stains right off! ROY.

    I think my first step is going with eagle one aluminum cleaner. Ill give that a shot.

    I search for a tread and didnt find any.

    Must of been looking in the wrong place.

    From the time I install a new aluminum intake, I use a siphon sprayer and lacquer thinner when ever fuel stains start to appear. It has kept the manifold looking new.

    Brake parts cleaner does the trick on fuel stains, either polished or cast.
