Just wonderin' if anyone has heard of an old Chicago builder by the name of Charles Masa (sp?). Any info on the guy would be great! Cheers.
Miles Masa....Don't know where he's at now, but recall he frequented Dave Phul's shop now and then. Stu
I did a quick search on here, and in 2008, there was a reference to "the late Miles Masa" sp? Have seen it spellled both Mesa and Masa. Stu
Are you looking for a car he built, or just info on him? I remember seeing a chopped 46-48 Ford coupe, and a couple chopped mercs he built. I believe Pat Ganahl was friends with him.
This is interesting from Pat Ganahl's book: http://books.google.com/books?id=D6...ed=0CCUQ6AEwBg#v=onepage&q=miles masa&f=false Scroll up slightly to page 143. The Trendero is currently for sale here on the HAMB. Miles Masa is my Father sadly my Father passed away in 1991 due to M.S. I miss him every day he was a very talented man and a good Father. Miss ya Pop !
Miles was ahead of his time... i have a 62 chevy impala built by Miles....rod and custom Feb 67.....he built some really cool stuff!!
Here is the 1952 Chevy Bel Air Miles built back in 87. According to his son, this was the final car Miles built and showed. I currently own it in Southern California where it has been in my possession for the past 14 years. Anymore info about the car would be greatly appreciated. I think the name of the car was lollipop? I also heard and read that Miles built it from another car that he saw on the cover of a 1950's motor trend car? Anyway if anyone has any info or questions let me know. Thanks.
