paint on hood

    my hood got blistered from a engine fire, paint peeled , should I sand blast, or chemical strip???

    I would chemical strip... You would have lost some temper in the sheet metal with the heat from the fire. That would mean blasting it could do even more damage to it. Chemical might be a messy way to go but you don't risk warping the metal that is already "at risk"

    Just my opinion... yours and others may differ.

    Razor blades and a heat gun would work also. Heat enough to soften the paint and start scrapping.
