Angled column drop for 32 Ford dash. Any ideas?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Fordor Ron, Jun 12, 2013.

  1. I'm running an aftermarket column shift column that is 2" in diameter. I need a column drop that has the angle for the Ford dash but is only about 3" long instead of the 5" that is commonly available.

Any ideas? I have limited fab skills and was hoping to find something that would just bolt up.

    Thanks in advance...

I ended up buying and IDIDIT 1932 angled column drop and also an IDIDIT 2 1/2 regular column drop and switching the angled dash bracket for the straight bracket on the shorter column drop. They interchanged fine and I sold the straight bracket with the longer drop at a swap meet. Cost me a little more but I had something I could swap out easily and didn't cause me a ton of money for a machinist.

  3. ^^^ This is what I want but it's not available in 2 " as far as I can tell.

  4. This is a great idea! I may go this route.

    Thanks for the heads up...
