Been trying to get my 54 I bought last year on the road and it was running some old and seperating mismatched radials w/rings and spider caps. So I just put on new Coker bias wide whites ad added some Merc caps. I think it looks better? It is a work in progress:D

I like the headlights and TBird grill. Did you have to narrow it to fit?

Thanks guys, I plan on painting it and finishing it out, I am really not a fan of gray or black primer. It will take a while though, little time and money and a couple of projects ahead of it. So for now I just plan on driving it.

  21. Nice looking work! Not trying to be critical but there is something I find weird about the front end treatment. The bottom of the t-bird grill seems too high up or something. There seems to be a lot of space between the bottom if it and the ground.

Yep, you either love it or hate it, like I said it was a thing in the early 60's. If you drop the bumper to the height you would normally put a bumper, the nose would look droopy.

I think your car is great looking but I'll have to agree with K13 on the space below the front bumper. Have you considered adding a lower metal panel contoured to the bottom of the bumper and painted the body color? It kind of appears unfinished with all that space below. Still a great custom. Thanks for sharing the pics.
