Perverts! Not what you were thinking! I have a Holley 4010 that I would like to use but the timed vacuum nipple is broken. I'll need this port for vacuum advance. Any ideas how to fix it?
JB Weld? Yuk. Do what Danny suggested; drill it out and insert a new nipple. Damn, I'm all excited now.
JB Weld SUCKS. It's a tapered hole. Remove the broken piece and shove the rest of the nipple back in. Done.
I would try to thread a sheet metal screw in there and maybe you can pull the broken piece out. Hopefully the original piece is still long enough to use again. BTW thats Mr. Pervert...if you please...
If it's the timed (ported vacuum) port, plug the damn thing and use manifold vacuum. Or does it need to be a smogger motor?
This is what we used to do at Kirks Carburetor here in Detroit. If what's left of the tube is long enough. Screw a dent puller into the broker piece of tube and pull it out, that way u won't screw up the size of the hole.
I was gunna say what ebbspeed said. I have a car with what looks like fishing weights hammered in. Looks better than the vacuum caps.
