You pretty much cant go wrong with a wagon most of the time. Hell even a lot of the O/T ones are cool. Can't say that for coupes and sedans of some of the same body styles. Viva La Long Roof!

when i was a young gun you couldnt give a wagon away. well except the 55 -57 nomads but not any other. ive seen 2 dr wagons go to the crusher and they were in good shape body wise. and a 4 dr wagon. not on your life. today wagons finally get the respect thet were due. we have 2 my 53 2 dr ranchwagon and my sons 65 falcon 4 dr.. we get alot of compliments when we take them out. but i still get sick when i think of all those wagons from the day being turned into toyotas!

Yes, the Ford Parklane was a one year wagon only to compete against the Nomad, which sold around 7000 in 1956 whereas Ford sold just over 15,000 of them in 1956, so not that "rare", and was the second priciest Ford that year. The Country Squire wagon was the most expensive Ford.

In fact, the Parklane was a very fancy Ranch wagon.

This is mine. I think it's the coolest. It works great for hauling the family around.

ok, it's definitely not the 'coolest', but i think it is surely one of the neatest! the Checker Aerobus.

oh, and Chevy made their own version of it in 1959. these were used as tour busses and airport delivery vehicles. or, you could just cruise around with 11 of your closest friends.

  18. Holy crap that looks like a body man's nightmare!
I would give up my two door comet wagon for a 1957 Del Rio. I saw a 1956 or 1957 two door Merc hard top wagon online once. I don't know if it was factory or not but I think it is one of the most beautiful wagons out there. -Sean

One of my favorite hot rodded wagons. The '56 Nomad from the made for TV movie, "Outrage" with Robert Culp.

My dad had a '67 Chevy ll wagon, when I was a kid. When he retired from the Air Force in '74, my mom made him sell it. It was the last time he ever tried to build something cool.

I can't believe more hasn't been been said about 52-54 Mercury wagons. One of my faves. I had a 54 I wish I hadn't sold.

I also love the early WWII Power Wagon Carryalls.

Just like everybody else the 1958 Olds might just be the best. Also like some of the early 60's Mopar 4dr hardtop wagons.

One of my favorites-1964 Buick Skylark 2 door wagon. A guy I used to work for when I was in high school had one for his wife. A nice looking wagon after the era of Nomads was gone........
