Pool table as a welding/fab table?just add 1/2" steel top.anyone done it?

 

nope, but I added pockets and bumpers to my welding table

 

Welding table doubles as a Forest Gump Ping Pong Table too.

 

I did. I used wood. I don't know how I got along without it!

 

Do you still put quarters in it?

No But I've put 1/4 panels on it!

 

Heavy is good! I used wood (3/4" ply, 2 X 6 around the edges.) because mine is a lay out and fab table. I have a heavy steel table for welding. Many of my tools are mounted on it, and easy to remove when I need more room. Call it a rat table if you must But it is seriously the best improvement I've made to the shop this year.
