    Went to an estate sale and bought a box full of very early Teens/Twenties headlights, and driving lights.

    This little jewel has a badge that says The Owl Lamp Co. S.F. Cal on it. The only reference I could find is that it might have been mounted from the Motometer/Radiator cap on 1920's cars as an accessory. It can be adjusted up and down and from left to right...it looks almost NOS. The bulb looks like a bee hive shape (G.E.).

    Looking for history...?

  4. From the San Francisco Business Journal (Vol 11 - 1925);

    Of Interest to Salesmen
    An office has been opened in 51-1 California-Commercial Building by the Owl Lamp Co., under the management of A. Camincitti, Jr. , for the purpose of manufacturing and distributing the Owl Road Lamp. This is a new automobile spotlight which operates from the instrument panel and will fit any make of automobile, closed or open.

    From the 1930 "Motorland";

    The Owl Road Lamp;
    Versatile is the Owl Road Lamp. A slight turn of the handle on the dashboard and a concentrated deluge of light is thrown in any direction. But the most important is maximum vision. The Owl will positively brighten your path with perfect clarity for 1/4 mile.

  6. I cut off the bottom of that last entry;

    Every ray of light is projected onto the highway out in front of the car. All reflection from glossy fenders or hood is entirely eliminated. THE RIGHT LIGHT IN THE RIGHT PLACE KEYED FOR PERFECT DRIVING SAFETY Information and Demonstrations at OWL LAMP CO. 460 McAllister St., San Francisco
