I was looking for engine numbers on the engine "pad" in front of the right head ,none there.

I went to the back of the block and found 3 engines with the same number.
    3970010 302 1969
    3970010 327 1969 trucks and industrial
    3970010 350 1969-1980

    Where do I look now?
    Thanks

Those are just casting numbers. without stamped numbers on pad you will have to look inside.
