WOW!...A little on the defensive side? I try to say thank you and I get chewed out? You couldn't have taken my response any further out of context. For your intellectual enlightenment here is a definition of the word "lore". Pretty much just how I meant it in my reply. 1. Accumulated facts, traditions, or beliefs about a particular subject. 2. Knowledge acquired through education or experience. Now that you have hopefully calmed down, thanks for the 327 info!
That's great, I never thought of lore as the same as fact. Thanks for explaining that as I've never heard it used in that way. I also would of never thought that I chewed you out. Must be some kind of language barrier thing so please don't take my response out of context either.
Ok, block back from shop. Mag'd ok. Here are the pictures. Last pictures are motor candy. Winberg crankshaft, 42 pounds, the old one weighed 54 pounds, so 12 pounds off the rotating assembly. That ought to spin.. cb1
Very nice pics. You have one nice rare block. Most that I've seen were CE stamped as over the counter, I wonder if these are stamped with Buick codes as they did ship a lot of them to Germany for the big Opel sedan. Maybe a lot were left over after the production stopped on the Opel. It will be very hard getting Chevy guys to believe that what you have was even made. I hope you have a great time using it. Almost forgot, I have a set of SJ billit splayed 4 bolt caps. If you want to 4bolt it ? free to you If you are going to use them on this, just pay the shipping
Vandy, Thanks, I will take them. I didn't win the 600 million powerball, but I did win the gearhead lottery tonite.. Thanks again, cb1
How did you find this info about these rare 70's 327 because I do believe I have just came across this very same block you are talking about I purchased it this week tore it down and mine has everything you have described here but my stamp starts with CE and ends with XTD. Date code is L 7 3 and the casting code ends with 512
