Looks like an ancient hose barb style they don't make anymore. I don't know who used to make these but, they have the number 4305 on them.
These fittings have a deeper threaded part with a tapered seat. Same as used on the Lucas CAV diesel fuel filter assemblies with a glass bowl.
I guess you can't tell in the pic but this fitting is for 1/4" hose. Stromberg only makes a one size fits all 5/16 & 3/8 size. That works fine but if you have a Model T or Model A hot rod, 3/8 hose looks enormous! I took it out of the carb and put some 1/4 clear red hose on it, take a look.
As I have posted before, the so-called "Stromberg 97" is the Ford variant of the conventional Stromberg EE-1. This fact is applicable to this thread in that there are a number of different fuel valves that will work with the Stromberg EE-1 that have more conventional outer threads than the one used by Ford. Just from memory, in additional to the Ford version, there are at least: 1/8 male pipe, 1/8 female pipe, male tube, female inverted flare, and one made for ethanol with a much larger orifice that has the hose barb as a part of the fuel fitting. Personally, I prefer metal lines, but to each his/her own. Jon.
I had the same type of fittings on a pair of 97's I'm using on one of my cars. Removed them and used compression style fittings and ran 1/8 metal line. Works and looks good.
They also have fittings with a flare that will take a 3/8 stainless/teflon braided line. Both straight and 90 deg.
