I vote you just clean it up and drive it as well.

Relax, he was just making a joke about "Flipping the Bird", as in a middle finger salute... (I chuckled a little...)

Engine compartment looks like it's sized just about right for a Big Block Chevy and if that's the route a straight axle under the front would make my day. Oh My!!! Well.......I've said it............can't take it back........stay tuned.:)

Those y blocks like to spit out pushrods when you try to start them after they've been sitting a long time. I'd pop the valve covers and oil the valve guides before i hooked up a battery.

  7. Cool find. There's a 60's version of that that is sitting in a garage right by my mom's house that hasn't seen the light of day since the 70's. Tried to contact the homeowner but they weren't home and my mom says they never see her, but I'll try again.

the stock hubcaps came with the car
the tires were dryrotted so the rims on it for the pix
below were just to move it

pulled the plugs oiled the cylinders & stuff changed the oil
rolled it over without any plugs in it

than shot some carb clean down the carb it started :)

it blew mouse nests out bolth sides of the exhaust
    that is enough for today

next the fuel pump is shot and time to clean the tank
and fuel system and get it running the right way

first time out of garage since 1973

Wow! Gotta follow this one! I'm not normally a "leave it stock" guy but this would be tempting, maybe just a wheel and tire change when you get the mechanicals straightened out. Subscribed.

very cool discovery.. It'll look great with some thick tires with wide white bands and lowered a tad.. Just leave the rest how it is..
    Good job rescuing that one!
