Thought you guys might like this. I've read 'barn find' and 'garage find' stories for years but it's much more exciting when you're the one pulling the car out of a garage. It's been sitting in the same spot since 1978 when it was willed to the son of the original owner. (which is who I bought it from) The paint is bad but the body and floors are very solid. The original red and white leather looks like it will clean up nicely. Spark plugs were out of the engine and I'm not sure for how long or if it's locked up. If it isn't seized I'm going to try to get it running as it is and drive it in it's present condition until I can finish my Brougham. I'll post up some more pics once it's cleaned up. Wish me luck on getting it running!
wow, it doesn't get any cooler than that! congratulations, and it's a convertible... keep us up to date
Good luck with that ! Monster machines...look cool when they're on the road ! Jonnie www.legends.thewwbc.net

Now that's the mother of all barn/garage finds !!! A true classic, AND a '59 Cad conv. to boot..........WAYCOOL..........I'm jealous..... & ....I'm subscribed.....all the best...... 48C
It is great you were able to buy it. When I moved into my current house a neighbor had a 58 Sedan DeVille. Dual quads, the works. I asked if he wanted to sell it and the answer was no, it belonged to his deceased mother. Came home from work one day and it was gone. Asked where it went and he had called a scrap yard to get it but wouldn't sell it to me only months earlier.
