Thought so... the only thing that comes to mind is some sort of loom, or weaving tool. I'm guessin'... never seen anything like that
Possibly for twisting twine. The front looks like it has a scissor action as well, which would cut the twine. Farm use, if so. Cosmo
Everybody knows its a hoomerhingie, old guys know it as a thingiebobber, sheesh, you young guys don't know anything.
Not sure how you got one of those over there. Its actually used to tell the age of male kangaroos. You sneak up to the largest roo in the mob, that's what a group of kangaroos is called and gently touch the blade section (warmed of course) on to one side of his scrotum, squeezing the tool together the animal will "flinch" slightly when the point touches and the pressure is right. Ours have measuring markers on the opposite end of the tool, so you see what that reads and that tells you how old the Roo is by the size of his testicle. Cheers IanS
I am an aircraft mechanic. I have several hand me down safety wire pliers, that date back to the 50s. It ain't that. They are much more compact. I was thinking rebar tiers because, the tie wires come with a loop on each end. I don' know about the cutter tho.
