w/s help???

    So a couple of the girls in class fought this for about 1/2 hour and didnt get very far, tried using some dish soap for lubricant...
    trying to get the windshield weatherstrip around the frame on our '40 chevy pickup, any tips or tricks or ideas???? thanks-

    Chamfer the edge where the trim enters the extrusion. Just the right size drill bit to open it up slightly. Or open it up a bit with a flat screwdriver.

    Warm the strip, use silicone spray for lube, get the thick kind. When you think you are done, make sure you force as much of the trim into the channel as you can. You do not want the strip to be stretched when you cut to length, it will shrink back to where it wants to be later.

    Try warming the strip by putting it out in the sun for a half hour or so.
