Just pick this up, what do you guy's think about this baby rancho Will post more pictures later this week. mike
Fun little pu, drove mine for 3 years in its stock form before the transformation. Lots of possibilities.
I have noticed that old rancheros are quite popular in the US, not so much here in Sweden but i just bought a 63 with origin 260 and tree on tree from California. Will post some pics when i got it!
Get a sedan diff (or center) and some 14 inch rims and you will be much happier driving it. Try and keep the ranchero rear brakes as I belive they a bigger drum etc than the car.
The ranchero was not as good as I, started checking it out. The rear frame is rusted out bad,as you can see in the pictures. I can not find any place to buy the rear frame that is holding the rear of the spring. HELP. What do you guys think I can fix this mess. Mike the first picture is looking at right side of frame at the rear of the spring mounts to the frame, the spring mount that is good but the frame gone.
Anything can be fixed if you've got the talent, or the money. Might consider looking at old Falcons, Comets, or Mustangs to see if you can cut this donor part from a wrecked one and weld it into your's. I just finished putting almost a whole frame under my '63 Falcon. Not because it was bad, but to handle a little over 400hp.
get on the ford falcon forum, it has a wealth of info and resources.......re-doing a 63 for a friend...if you end up parting this out, I need a few odds and ends...but hope you can save this......
I'm back have been working on the frame, rear lower bed and inside at rear. All work came out great, would post pictures but can post at this time on my mac. I need help as I change out the spring shackles and the back one are going the wrong way, they should be going back, but can not move them back. Can an one help me Thank you Mike
