There is an early 50s Olds gasser style machine running around the Pasadena/Deer Park TX area. I've seen it several times of day and night so it must get driven alot.

If I could figure out how to find/payfor the trim, I'd put the Olds back on the street as a lowered stocker with a later Olds V8 and automatic.

Hey 57 Thanks! First car I ever raised the hood on was a 53 Olds of my Dads I was 6 years old & cleaned the valve covers off to see OLDS ROCKET! Always thought it looked like a Catfish! It has found a good home! A ton of trim inside car I think everything there! It will be a cool project! I really like bringing a car back from the dead! Time will tell! Car was used for storage of a soap box derby car! We got that derby car in the deal also! Tks Bill

1st, great score for ya and thanks for sharing the pics. The Ford, why the hell do you need a fender? Unless we can't tell by the pics that it's full of dough it looks like a few hrs with a hammer n dolly.

The Olds, the poor kid needs to go back the other way, doncha think? It's a bitchin early HT and just crying to be a period kustom. As it sits, you couldn't pay me enough to drive around the block let alone go full tilt down the 1/4! Slam that thing! Please...

Both are cool as hell. I'd keep the Ford (I am biased tho) Dash and seats in the Ford need to go tho. 54 Dash in it would be nice. Just my 2 cents tho

  17. Wow I have not seen a Olds gasser for a long time and that Ford has tons of potential good luck with them!

The Olds looks like it was built by Al's Automotive out of Brisbane, Calif. The Bay Area. Probably in the late 60's. The Bay Area was crawling with these cars back in the day!!!!

Bill...I know the people that had the Olds for YEARS before the guy you got it from...and I was told it was built in the Bay area too....show some pics of how the front frame stubs are done so others can see. I saw the poor thing at Pomona for sale too...it might have bounced through a few hands since...
