    Hey!
Went to Viva & took the 51 Henry J Gasser! Guy asked how much? Car wasn't really for sale gave him a price! He said he had a few old gassers & would let us know! Called me & funny lives about 15 miles from my house in SF Valley! He said he'll take the car do we want to take 2 old gassers in on trade? Hmmmm maybe! Well the deal was done!

    1st car
1953 Olds Straight axle Olds rear end raced in N.CA back in 60s
Anyone ever seen this car! Anybody else have a Olds Gasser?
Would you bring it back to life? Or sale it? Just Reeks Old School!
Inside of car full of parts & funny current registration! Tks Solo

The Olds needs a big Olds V-8. Multiple carbs would be a plus.

I dont see any indication that the Olds is an ex-gas class race car. Aluminum slots, street tires, no tow bar brackets, stock firewall, rear wheel-wells arent cut. No single one item on that list would necessarily rule out ex racer, but you add 'em all up, and the sum total = street car. Caveat emptor.

Olds 394 w/dual quads and a B/M hydro, just reeks of the 60's

  14. Cool score. Bill, Whatever you do to these cars. Could you please keep Brad away from the vinyl diecut sticker machine?!!! He loves that thing. Ha! One shot lettering paint is your friend.

Econo line axles! & Front rims 5 on 5 1/2 bolt on olds so I don't think bought at Speedway! Olds was raced in 60s n Ca all we know! No I don't think either were raced at the Nationals! Those stickers were made only for Viva show & Brad had nothing to do with it! He would of if asked! Tks for all the replys! SOLO

Funny! How can you look @ that old car & say it wasn't raced??? Rear fenders were not cut as they don't need to be the cars sits 10 Ft off the ground! If you don't think it is a old (Gasser) What would you call it! Low riders never used those hugh Ladder bars that I know of! Anyway Nobody said it was a Stone Woods & Cook Car! Just showing a cool old car from way back when! Tks For looking! Solo

What ever you do to the Olds, Make it Streetable! I have many fond memories from a 53 Olds, and like all cool cars, they're only cool if you can drive them.

Damn Bill, that Ford is right up my alley. Reminds me of a 52 Ford Coupe with radioused wheel openings like that once with a big Olds in it, I'd rather had a FE in it.
You always seem to come up with some cool stuff!

Didn't Gene Adams race an early Olds similar to that one? Very cool pair of cars.
