Projects 338ci Y-Block Wrapped Up in '30 Model A Tudor

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by mctim64, Feb 2, 2012.

  1. If you want any info on the Fab work here contact Derrek at Boling Bros. Early Iron. They do great work! :D http://www.bolingbrothers.com/

Now for the updates. We were s'posed to get some body work going today but other projects got in the way. But there is some more work on the floor to share. Park brake lever is mounted, battery box is in and the rear seat still fits in the original position. Car is coming together nicely! ;) Body comes off this week and then prep for paint. Or so we plan.

Hey Tim, not much headroom back there :)

Are those spot welds on the floorboards ? Or rivets ?

Come on Tim! You know that is where you will be sitting with Kathy driving and the dogs on the seat next to her! You could stick your head out and feel the breeze!

I'm just glad you weren't wearing your jogging shorts, haha:p

  17. I really like how this has original seats...gives a cool impression of being an "original" A that someone bought and made a hot rod from.

    Dig it!

  18. Can we say Hanta Virus!?!?!?!?!?!?

  19. Not what I want to hear after clearing all the old carpet, padding, and headliner out of my shoebox! Booboojeebies!

  21. Don't need no stikin head room! Besides probably just young girls will be ridding back there. ;)

Spot welds Larry, spot welds! Sorry I didn't answer the first time. :D

It will look original but it will be new. I ordered a complete interior kit from LeBaron Bonny, along with extra insulation for sound deadening. It will have a very nice quiet ride with a good exhaust note. I want Kathy to enjoy it but I also want it to sound good.

  22. Gonna look something like this insde.

Hey there, super cool build, it may have been covered earlier in your thread i had a look but could find out for sure, looks like you set the body back a little on the chassis? if so how much? love the look of the model a with stock firewall!

  27. The chassis is 4" longer than stock, this gives it plenty of room. You can even move the dizzy. ;)

  28. The floor is in and now the body is off to start getting it ready for paint. :D It's getting close! Only a million little things left to do. :p
