It's hard to put into words how sweet today was. Let me start by saying THANKS to those who showed up to help and THANKS to the Jalopy Journal. After expecting the worst, everything went really good (so far:p). My ballast resistor must have fried because, well it just did. We got that figured out and well..........see for yourselves.

After the initial run, I got talked into taking it around the block. Hard to describe the feeling. The engine has a deep grunt when you get on the "go pedal" and those M&H tires would most likely climb a wall. My wife, and family deserve a special THANKS! - I couldn't have done it without you.:)

Man it was so cool to see your car moving under its own power! This is the part that makes it all worthwhile. I'm betting you're still grinning! lol

Thanks for the posts everybody - I hope your Easter was good! I'm still pinching myself saying, "did that just really happen?" I only took it around the block once, but I'm amazed at how smooth it ran. It also starts instantly, which I credit to the Pertronix? The Speedway mini starter sounds very sweet, even though that noise (music) is over so quickly. The exhaust is spot on. Still plenty to do, as always. I'll make a video of it running and driving soon - I've only got 30+ days until Iowa.:D:cool:
    Thanks again all!
