I keep running this back and forth in my head....removing the tailpan and moving the rear bumper in approx 3 inches to take up the gap. My project's a 50' Pontiac - not sure if the Chevys / Olds are the same but I would assume so... Does anyone have any pics or how it looks?
Sort of.... I installed a 52 Pontiac bumper on the rear of my 50 chevy delivery. I made my own bumper brackets, welded the bumper bolts from the inside and shortened up the sides of the bumper by 3 inches to fit the body indentation. I also welded the top bar of an accessory 50 chevy front overider to the top of my rear bumper for a license plate. My old Pontiac bumper was sooooooooo rusted it would never take a plating job again. I was always on the lookout for a good Pontiac bumper to do the same thing and have it plated afterwards.
