I have a 52 chevy hardtop with an upgraded 302 inline 6 and original 3speed with a mcleod clutch. Linkages all working properly and clutch adjusted many times. But when the car warms up the clutch won't disengage. Any experience with this?

Sounds like you have a bad clutch.

If you put it in gear with the motor off- hold the clutch down and start the motor, does it creep ahead or lurch?

thanks okatoma. we figured out that the clutch wasn't disengaging because of all the customizing that was done from the pedal linkage to the clutch before we got the car. Pretty much the linkage is not giving us enough distance to disengage, so spome customizing will have to be done
