Just got comet project 11-5-11,1960 4dr wagon. California car NO RUST,WOW,a few dents mostly small dings. No engine or trans. Planing on 302, C4 and upgrade to 5 lug wheels.Plus lowering a little.
Awesome find, I've got a soft spot for old Comets and this one will definately look cool when its done.
I guess I haven't updated much !! Have been working on my wagon since Nov. 2011. Upgraded to 65 must. front susp., 5 lug,and steering. Installed 8" Maverick rear. 14" steel rims and narrow ww tire's Got engine in and C4 trans last weekend. I'm modifying the 60 trans mount to fit C4. Need a drive shaft longer than the 2 I have. My son helped with engine, trans. and pounded out some dents,Not much rust to fix. I'll get some pictures of the wagon when I get it down on all 4 wheels.
Took the Comet out for a ride today !!Longest ride I've had in it since I got it. Ran pretty good, had to set idle up a little, kept dying at stop signs. Need to get alignment done yet.
