Is that a big block modified I see in the background there?

Maybe a more vintage one farther back as well?

What's the story there? You an oval racer?

What year T Bird supplied those seats? People are going to start gutting them, then go looking for a 53-54 Chevy, you've started a trend. Bob

the race car is at Flemings junk yard hes got a lot of old circle track cars laying around. Hes got a really cool stock car museum that shows the history of the Atlantic City race track. If you ever make it to the Pumpkin Run in October there is a ton of Vintage Stockers and Drivers.

The seats are out of an early 60s Tbird . The only challenge to making them fit is the back shelf I trimmed It and added a piece to the back Not to big of a deal. My buddy told me the Merc guys use these seats a lot. when I first decided to use them I ran a search.THeres a couple other Hambers who did the same thing.Alot of good info.I was thinking abot using the center console also but decided against it . I like the way the Corvair buckets look with out it.

Sorry man no pics.I just dove in and started cutting. The deck lid is three pieces the outer ones needed minimal trimming.I used the stock card board deck for a pattern to fill in the back of the shelf I had to bend the seat backs a hair.Fabed up a couple brackets and had to trim the garnish moldings ( you can see them in the pics) And that's pretty much it. I couldn't believe how nice they fit.

What carb do you have up on that Clifford intake? I have a Clifford that I will be mating up to a 53-54 corvette dual exhaust. How did you do the carb linkage to the bell crank-accelerator pedal? Does the carb orientation matter?

    Thanks,

The carb is a rebuilt Carter AFB I used a Lokar throttle cable and accelerator Pedal Lokars stuff is real nice, real easy to hook up. I mounted the carb side ways front of the carb facing the passenger side with a afb I guess it doesn't matter im not sure about a holley

    Cool.

Not much chance of me seeing it though, as I live in Missouri.

Love the NW modifieds and their little cousins the touring NASCAR modifieds.

For a lot of years, I raced their midwestern equivalent (more or less) on the dirt here in MO.

Glimpses of heetmetal bodywork and cage tubing still draw my eye like a 14yr old kid getting a peep though the door at a strip club. :D
