  2. Love that modified! Just curious how tall are you? I'm 6'3" 170lbs and am building a RPU (non-channeled).

    Removed it.
I brought the wheelbase in to 104" and I'm thinking of making it so the small bed can easily be put on and taken off with 4 bolts.

Mike, I'm glad your back at it. I was blown away by this at Wampsville a while back, what was that? like 2 years ago allready.

Do you have a build thread on this? At the very least specs?

  18. Flatred53,
Very cool project he's got there, Magnus B! Body looks great...well not meaning his body. Although the ground looks pretty high just there! :D

  19. Very nice indeed! Would like to see a photo of the back portion of the 'tub'. Those long extensions behind the 'bun panels' are normally found on the RPUs. Standard roadsters usually had shorter extensions and of course holes in the backside to affix the turtle deck.

  20. At last I can put mine in here

Here is my "thing", call it what you will. I can't decide if its a modified or a tub. Somewhere between 96-98" wheelbase. Started out as an Av8 coupster project, then evolved into a very small modified type body, now this version is set in stone. "tudor phaeton" "tub" "modified" I'd settle for "Jalopy"

28-29 Model A chassis and cowl, 26 Buick sedan rear(full length), 59a built to 276 cubes, 39 toploader with 25tooth zephyrs, '47 Merc rear with 3.54s. The body will be channeled about 2" lower than in these pictures. Also will have a drop axle and some smaller front rubbers. Also, in these pics I still need to shorten the frame by roughly 7"

I am getting started on mine and I would also love some chassis shots. I am trying to decide how to do mine. I'm using a stock"A" chassis for a base. I have a flathead V8, 40 center X-member, 46 rear, f-1 front brakes, and a 1919 Willys Overlander touring car tub. I have been planning to set it up and see how low I can get it w/o frame mods. I'm not worried about chopping up the frame I just figure it would be fun to try without first. Any suggestions?
