I know that everybody today leaves the rain gutter in, but in a traditional way, the got to go. Look at Riksters website. All the Kustoms from back in the day removed them. You spend so much time on that bitchin chop and smooth lines with the rear window. Round corners on the doors and no gutters in my book. But no matter what, your car is awesome and 100 ways to build it. Just my opinion..
cut off vertical lip on original drip rail shaped and formed round rod in original drip rail tack welded as i moved along then after it was all tacked in cut out original rail gutter from underneath and welded in
I understand what you r saying about cutting out the rain gutters but on this car I still want it to have some of that factory look my other car car was a totally smoothed out decromed chopped molded custom ,this car car is chopped but I want it still to look like a prewar factory look thats why I am not molding fenders running a antenna ,painting it a solid color lacquer paint almost to give a stock look I regret removing door handles they were nice
Zombie, I like the custom drip rails you built. Nice work. You could always put the handles back on. Your choice, either way looks killer. Elwood
thanks VONKOOL13 that's the look Im going for a clean almost factory look sometimes making things look simple is a lot more work and people will never know the mojor changes you have made to the car
gaw damn! your car is coming together dude, it's come a long way. I've checked it out a few times when I've gone to Jr's parents house. its looking good!
Looking better every time I see this thread! I would also like to see some pics of the engine transplant! I really like what you'r doing with the stock appearing custom!
I want to do a solid forties color no pearl no metalics just a single stage solid color maybe oxblood or black lacquer or even maybe one of those blue greenish 40's colors not shure yet blacks have been done so much
Looking sick bro, mine gets color next week. Wish I would have known aerostars worked, just got eaton 2"drop. Did the f1 shock mount, actually raised my front end when shocks were put on?....
Haven't touched the car for about five months plan on starting again on it this week coming up had some family health issue with my pops hes doing better now wana get her on the road for the summer will post updated this week thanks for all the good words
Something Ive been wanting to do for a while removing the ribs of the fenders I do like them and I know there a signature mopar piece but they don't work for the look im going for .Also i dropped the rear of the fender down 1 1/4 inches in the rear to get my cruiser skirt to sit a little better that one thing I did not like about these fenders the back is so much higher than the front
