It's time again! The event has been changed from August till March 9th this year because of heat. They have ask the Stray Katz to get cars out to the event. I know it is short notice, but will be a great time. I don't have all the details, but will add them as I know more. Here's what I know! Main street will not be blocked off this year. The bands will be moved down by the Train Depot. Bands are: Anthony Moreno Band and Wooten Marshall Band Bands start at 7:00 and it is $15.00 Car Show is Free! cruise in are 12:00. Cars can stay parked for the Dance. Fajita and bean cook off. If it's like last year, you just buy a ticket and you can eat all you want from any or all booths. You can also go to www.burtonheritagesociety.org for more info. Burton is on hwy 290 between Austin and Houston. We would love to have y'all come join us.
New short notice update! We have decided to do a Stray Katz Prowl though the country side with a few short stops along the way. We are meeting at the White Horse Saloon on Main in Burton at 10:00 this Saturday morning. Pull out around 10:30 and be back at the show by 12:30 ish.
We may not get back from the Prowl till 1:30ish, so if you don't make the prowl and you arrive before we get back the Depot will be open. There is also the Burton Cafe. Fajitas and beans won't be ready till 4:00, so you might need a snack. They have great goodies. Then there is the Short Stop around the corner by the school. It's just been remodeled and has a bar and grill in the back. Don't forget about the White Horse Saloon.
