OK, I don't care if there are those on here that are going to cry:
Not Traditional, especially when they hear what engine this craftsman installed into his creation. However, this man, is truly a craftsman, and his creation, has got to be one of the most awesome builds I have ever seen..

Yes, pure bad ass, I have seen it in Omaha. My friend was on the Interstate hiway and was passed by it when he was going 70, couldn't believe his eyes. Talented nice guy. Dig it ~sololobo~

If I am not mistaken this car was damaged last year, believe it or not someone backed up over it. Not sure if it was at the back to the 50s weekend at St Paul so dont quote me.

He also has a mini 39 Chevy.

Amazing!! I saw the Merc at back to the 50's last year. I didn't know he built the other cars too. Seeing all that Ernie has accomplished makes me feel like a real slacker. :(

  7. I would love to own one of those. Im short so they're built for guys like me.

How neat is it, i've been looking at ford consuls and mark 1 ford zephyrs to scale down to build a kid size sled for my lil monsters.

Extremely creative and talented guy. I still have an article from a 1994 Special Interest Auto magazine about his Dwarf 1939 Chevy. In the article he talked about using old refrigerators. Back then he was a back yard fabricator with many homemade tools and working out of a small shed.
Built his first Dwarf car in 1965 and first Dwarf race car in 1979.
Surely one guy it would be an honor to meet and talk to.

Let's see, I welded some spring hangers on my frame, and installed a disc brake kit. Oh, and had a shop do some blasting and powder coating. Uhh, this makes me want to take up sewing. All I can say is, "Wow"!

Neat, I've seen his Chevy and Merc at the Pavillions for years. Never knew he also had a part in starting the Dwarf car racing scene.

  24. I seen this at a cruise night in Independence, MO 2011, somewhere I have a photo of my son sitting in it. Ernie was a great guy to visit with, truly an eye for design and craftsmanship. The video doesn't do this justice, it's truly amazing to stand next to this and see the detail in it!

The tiny Toyota engine is about the biggest thing that will fit, the car is quite small - smaller than it appears in pics.
