Jaysus, nice find. The only thing in the scrap yards here is late model stuff and old oil tanks!

I have several other pictures of this car I found with Google images...Does anyone know who owns it or anything about it? It appears to be a 46-48 but I like it!

    Great save!

After the purchase, I'd be torn between telling the scrapper what a freakin idiot he was for attempting to scrap the car vs. making friends and having him call you the next time he's about to smelt an old car or set of vintage mag wheels for "beer money". Did you leave him your # or slap him?;)

I had the 440 and trans... only has around 40,000 miles on it, but I want a big cam and some work done to it. That and a certified rollbar is my next big expence or I would be working on it right now. I got the strait axle front end and rear from the same guy. I should get my ass out there and start getting the body work done... :D

Nice idea, but I thought they only did that with glass front ends? If that is something they did back than I woud def do it. Tilt frontends are def bad ass...

lol yea, it was about 2 miles from my house... almost didn't ask if it was for sale because I figured he wanted alot for it. When I asked if it was for sale , he said he pulled it from his yard cause he was taking it to the scrap yard that weekend. As soon as I bought it people kept stopping to ask about it. So yes "right place at the right time".
