I found some old pictures of my dad's Model A from back in 1961. Anybody from the Walnut Creek area remember this kid and his little Model A?

Haha! He was telling me about how that was an old pair of slick his friend had. They were most definitely showing chords! But don't be fooled, It was all rock stock drivetrain.

I could only afford white walls by the pair back then too.

It was a VERY different world back then, apparently. This was the house across the street from the house he grew up in, in the picture. That neighborhood is now very upscale and not at all what it used to be.

    Hello:

My dad was very involved in the hot rod scene in walnut creek, late 50's on. I'll ask if he recognizes. Your dad's name? (My dad is Denny Bloching- Los Lomas High School Class of '57 I believe).

Here's my dad's coupe with a set of whitewalls he borrowed from a buddy, and my uncle's sedan he had in high school.

My dad bought his coupe for $65, and drove it home. My uncle paid $200 for his, it was in really nice shape. I wish I could pay $65 for a Model A coupe!!!
