Roadside Find

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Copper Top, Feb 12, 2013.

  1. About a month ago a neighbour told me about an old car that was found when a contractor was clearing the brush back from the highway nearby. Due to work, weather, flu, etc. I didn't get a chance to check it out until today. Not much left of it, but I bet somebody can tell me what it is.

1933 Plymouth 4 door. I'd grab it. Tough but you never know who you could help out that has the other half at home.

    Are you sure???
I'm not seeing the Plymouth bead line that goes up over the rear side window from the large bodyside bead.
Maybe different models of Plymouth had different beads?
Are you basing the ID on the dash and firewall?

I'm NOT saying you are wrong...just that I'm not sure and the rear quarter looks A LOT like a 33 Essex.

these ID threads are always fun!!! :D

Looks like half the cars that come into our school shop looking for a repaint. Just a little rust says the owner!

  19. Actually, "1stwsh" had it correct......it's a 1934 Plymouth.

Oh your going to have to fill me in on where this is too. Love to have a closer look.. cool find..
Just so the rest understand. Finding anything from the 30s around here is like gold.. it might be shot but 95 % of stuff from the 30s is long gone..

definitely 34 Plymouth or whats left of one

  27. When I first saw it I thought it might be a 33 or 34 Ford, but on closer inspection I knew it wasn't a Ford. I knew it wouldn't be long before somebody on here would be able to tell me what it is. Thanks.
