Banger Table / gearhead furniture

Thought id share my new coffee table! just need to put the starter and a couple other pieces on and its done.

 

I am getting ready to make a vise table with a flatty block that I found in the woods. Looks pretty!

 

forgot to say its a 1928 Chevy engine

 

That's sweet... I'd love to make a coffee table out of an old FE Block, and some lamps out of transmission housings... but the wife doesn't like that ideal for some reason... go figure..

 

Cool table! What did you use for the supports that hold the glass table top?

I made a lamp for my kids room out of a vw crank and flywheel, it turned out cool.

 

I have a wife also !!! No way in HELL.

i screwed some studs into the block then made the legs out of a piece of tube that slips over the studs and some plate then a piece of dom tube that i tapped for 5/16" elevator bolts needs some speed holes drilled in it.

 

Nope not single engaged to a kick ass gal who enables my gearhead sickness haha.

 

Thats one way to keep the furniture from getting rearranged.

 

my wife wants one ..... yep shes a cool chick!
