Yes, I have noticed. Back them, people took pride in themselves. Nowdays, no one seems to give a damn about how they look. It's a shame, too.
I was thinking about this while I was perusing the photos in this thread. Even lowly gas station attendants wore ties at work, and ladies wore dresses. Even kids looked neat, even when they got dirty playing. And you could tell a boy from a girl with a mere glance. Today, it's almost impossible to tell, and you don't dare look too long to try and figure it out for fear of being labled as some sort of pervert.
You know, the "Good Old Days" really were the Good Old Days!
I'm glad that I was born and raised in the 50s and 60s. I don't think that I would like to be a child growing up in todays world.
Too much pressure to be this or that, to conform, to own this thing ot that thing, to never be allowed to be yourself, to explore the world around you.
Glad I don't have to deal with it now.

Really should not say things like that about Drew Barrymore!

You nailed it on the head, the way I see it. Key word here is raised. The so called problem kids usually have parents that do not have a clue how to raise a child or teach disipline because for the most part they were not raised or disiplined. Nother story. Your right on. Thanks for saying what I feel. 50's 60's may be gone forever but I damn sure remember em proudly.

The only thing 'Vintage' about Las Vegas are old photos, and a few of us old timers. What has been preserved for posterity certainly isn't the first McDonald's in Vegas. Perhaps you are thinking of the Downy California one - Oldest operating McDonald's restaurant on Lakewood and Florence in Downey, California http://www.xtimeline.com/__UserPic_Large/2559/ELT200709292236095468326.JPG
