Does anyone know of a good multi day hands on leather and vinyl repair course? If you are, or know of a person or company that offers training please let me know. I live in the Jacksonville, FL area and can travel anywhere in the United States, but would prefer to stay on the East Coast. Thank you.

Thanks, I'm familiar with fibrenew... but I do not want to get into a franchise, especially at $70k to start up.

Do you have a sewing machine yet? Biggest step is getting a machine that will handle the material. A friend of mine's mother is a traveling rep for joann fabrics, she goes around and puts on sewing seminars at the stores, leather/vinyl sewing is one she gets a lot of requests for. Check out some fabric stores and see what's available and find a good machine.

Thanks, Yes, I have a sewing machine but typically a sewing machine is not used for on site repair, at least for what I would be doing... basically I'm looking into getting more versed on the different methods of hand stitching, patching, and re-dying. But definitely would be worth checking into for larger type sofa/panel repairs... thanks!
