I think that would fall under the heading of: Bad Guess. First Whippet (replaced the Oakland) was built in 1926 - car in photo is much earlier - teens perhaps.

I have no idea, but would like to be the first to comment on the ag tread tires on the rear.

  8. I don't know what it is but that is a cool photo. I keep staring at it and have a feeling like on the verge of time travel. I've checked out the features of the car, of course, but I think it's the faces and the neighborhood in the background that captures me. I know that sounds weird, huh?

The car is real neat. The cowl lights look similar to an unmarked one I got at an estate sale this fall that I thought it was for a carriage.

Neat picture. I have no idea what it is,but I've noticed,as a lot of you probably have, that the people in these really old photos are almost always dressed to the nines.
I guess it because back then only well to do people could afford a car.Maybe they were off to some swanky party and decided to have their picture taken to celebrate. having your picture taken then was no small thing like now.
    Things sure have changed.
