driveshaft loop...traditional?

    when did driveshaft loops come into popular/mandated useage?
     
  2. Probably when the Kiwi Rodders Bible came out. Can't remember them being mandatory back in the 'exemption' days.

    In the early 60's at drag races in California.

    Some things may not be "traditional" but common sense says that they are a good thing to have and if you have ever chucked a driveshaft out from under a car under hard acceleration you wouldn't be wondering but putting one in anyhow. And if a guy gets down on his belly and crawls under your car to see if safety related items pass his "traditional" criteria he's too damned nosy anyhow.
