The Ford panel converted to roofless suburban has been around the best part of the last 10 years, at least, it was satin tan with huge Krazy Kreation lettered on its sides, which is the shop that originally built it.
I have some pics of it in that guise from an old Bo Huff open house somewhere, just need to find'em.
This pic is from about two months ago just after it got done.
    It is truly awesome.

  3. Man I never thought the color gold could look soooo fine!

Many nice examples of it on this thread that are done very well.

My favorite factory stock custom truck... I know this is not even close to a custom but god I love the looks of this one right out of the box!

  5. Adam,

What is that shade in the rear window- '55-'56 grille center, aftermarket, hand-made?

    Thanks, Bill

John DeJeer (who built it originally) bought it back from Cutty, I assume he still has it-

F100 1/2 ton long box mild custom, except the ISCA puts it in the Full Truck category due to the numerous modifications.

Some are quite obvious, others are so subtle they get missed by the "experts".

    is that two questions?

as for the the blinds, they were found randomly. (long story)
but I know the homie Ruben @ Auto Venetian Blinds sells a set for the tri-five gangster windows...google them.

  15. Here is my custom truck in the works. Maybe six more months of metal work, then I can tear it down to start the body work.

Yep...Fahrner's "Eclipse" really knocked my socks off in the early sixties.
One of the little pages mags paired it against the "Ala Kart" (another stunner) in an article titled "Which is Best? East or West?", and held a reader's vote. The Ala Kart won. I preferred The Eclipse.

I particularly liked the abbreviated rear fenders (in conjunction with the running boards),
molded to the '59 El Camino style bed (with inset pipes), and the Cadillac bullets on '58 Ford mesh for the grille (used on some other killer Kustoms of the era).

Amazingly, I have never warmed up to the darker repaint version, done decades ago.

    Much more at Kustomrama: http://www.kustomrama.com/index.php?title=Ray_Farhner's_1932_Ford

Eclipse has to be one of the koolest show rods EVER! I love how the grille inserts follow the curve of the top to bottom givin a real 3D feel.
Was this sold of the Speed e Style auction a few years back?

I hope. That thing is soo kool. I really like the "exhaust" comin outta the fins.
I think a set of either supremes or cragars on some skinny whites would really fit this one. And i'd get rid of the fish tails for some pencil tips. If only money wasnt such a big issue.....
