I convert oil bath to paper elements and sometimes can find the correct size at the parts stores and sometimes have to stack the filters to get the correct height, does anyone know where one can get filters by the dimensions and not so much by the application.

When I asked at the zone they said they did not have a book so I will check with a real parts store,my local NAPA is going down hill since they could not help me with a drain plug gasket for one of my trucks so will go to another.

If nothing else, take a tape measure to the store!

I have done that but the parts stores seem to only carry the popular filters and the industrial filters are probably what is going to work the best.

Get the dimensions you need, go to the K&N web site type in the dimensions, a number of filters will pop up with the part numbers, find an auto parts store web site and order the air filter.
