This was really alot of fun. Levi from the BTR c.c. came up with this idea the friday before the run, and threw it on facebook. Come tuesday there was a great turn out! Woke up and got the car ready, and it was a sultry 27 degrees when i left. Big block and slicks baby! Met up with my buddy hatchet and his 65 chop deville in fed way, and we boogied out to Baxters autoparts. Man what a turn out!
Then we hit 6th ave to Ruston, and out to 5 mile drive. Our first stop was at the beach. Still a balmy 31 degrees out. Perfect for gettin some rays baby! Hatchets boys were all bundled up. Me and the elusive Austin! (his orange flattop) I love this Zepher!!! Then Back to cruising! It was a beautiful day!
We made one more stop at Ft. Nisqually, then i had to boogie. It was a great time, and people didnt know what to think about all these cars out driving around. Total, there was about 30 cars. Im hoping this becomes an annual thing. Thanks everyone who helped put this on! Im working on a video of the cruise too, so stay tuned
Looks like a great day, cool and dry. I've been through Pt. Defiance a few times while doing the Kingsman poker run. All in all a great place for a cruise, I know I've always enjoyed it. ...............Jack
glad to see people still cruising to pt. defiance. we use to go there back in the late 60's on nice weekends and there loads of hot rods and muscle cars there. use to work at the 6th ave douglas station (now long gone) and enjoyed seeing the cars come in and go by. good memories.
Why the heck didn't I think of that when I lived there? I could have pushed my car to Ruston! I miss good ole T-town and all the Bishops and BTR's. :-(
