During the holidays, with some time off, I've been pondering some of the important things in life... such as "If I could choose my username on the Hamb all over again, what would it be?"... Yes, I know my username will never be edited for any reason. However, my question is this: Does anyone care (Ryan & Moderators) if I create a new name and begin using that instead? Or is there some reason you'd suggest I do not do that? I realize the repercussions of having threads linked to this username. I just would stop creating new threads with this name. And perhaps add a note under this profile of my new name. I'm not hellbent on this idea, I'm considering it.
This made me laugh.. and out loud, no less. My Merc isn't roadworthy yet, so I don't need a new project yet.
just saying....usernames would be the last thing on my mind. i changed my username one time back in 2010 i think.CHANGED.i did not make a new profile.
I was taking a break from thinking about my active research framework in particle physics that attempts to reconcile quantum mechanics and general relativity, and new uses for cheez-whiz.
there have been people banned in the past for having multiple profiles. fat hack comes to mind if i remember correctly. i think you have to choose which one you want to remain active and ryan will ban the other.

Too much pondering may lead to dizzy spells. Not long ago there was a thread by Ryan. He's some guy that hangs out here now and then. Ryan stated that there were changes in the format, whatever, and no one can change their user name anymore. So you lurkers out there think hard, even ponder, before actually coming up with your user name and joining. I hate mine too!

sorry to use you as an example, it's the only one i remembered. i know there has been others. it wasn't hard finding it in a search. so, to the original poster, it isn't as simple as setting up a new account. it is frowned upon.
