I have the interior totally sound deadened and the dash about together, I'll try to post some pics of that. But Its still at my shop at my job (can't do too much there) Its coming home in the next few weeks. 82 DAYS till Torque Fest 2013, I better get hustlin!
coming along superbly and would be interested how that sound deadening works out as im looking for some for my 50 pickup great work as usual
So, I finally got the car back home to where I can continue Fab and paint.. I cut the hood in half to make it a one piece hood with no seam, and I quickly realized I have short ass arms. I can't reach the whole seam to dolly it out! Aint that a bitch when you want to get work done and you have to wait for a friend just to hold a dolly!!! However, I'm like a kid in a candy store now that i'm back out here with my car!
Before It Got there, I started with the hood. I wanted to make it a one piece, but I also did NOT want a seam when the hood was opened, so i cut it in half and got rid of the seam. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of the hood welded back up yet, I need someone to help dolly before metal finishing..
Then, It was on to the bumpers. I've been excited to get going on these, especially the rear beings i've collected 4 or 5 bumpers I planned on using to make one out of .. here is a few pics, but i'm still currently working on it. The front bump will come later once I get the whole front end fit and finished. Yeah, Its going to be A TON of metal finishing!!!!!! Obviously, its no where near finished so there is a lot of tweaking and enhancing to do yet, but its a good start.
MEEEE THREEEE! I live 3 miles from where Tfest is being held this year, I'll push the damn thing there and drop it for the weekend the way it sits if I have to!
cant waite to see more on the bumpers..wish i was close to a chromeing shop cause i always wanted to build a custom bumper.. great work..
Now, I've been working on Panel Alignment and getting the rest of the rust and welding on the body taken care of so I can Get the front end mounted where it really needs to be. Pretty safe to say I should have tossed this fender. It was like cottage cheese when I pulled the inches of mud off it to begin with. Sometimes having $Zero Is a real pain in the ass, but you tend to learn more that way! Door Gaps are about dead on... Now I have the above pic finished, but don't have a pic of it for some reason
