thanks Gents! If anyone in aus hasnt been to the island, please book it in for the first weekend of january
I havn't been for about 5 years. The photo at the T intersection just bought back some awsome memories of the friday night beach party. I'm not going again so please take a truck load of photos and post em up.
shame dude! some years the quality of cars isnt that great.....but it is just amazing down there. Relaxing next to the beach...perfection. haha will do mate!!
Can't wait! First year of actually having a car there (if I get all my jobs done!) Has your Chevy arrived yet?
As always, great photos! Gotta drag my guts down there for January. Even if I have to walk it. My ride is still in Jacksonville...
Excellent! what ride are you finally bringing?? i'm hanging for beers by the beach haha. the chevy has arrived! just going through the customs jazz now
thanks so much man! really appreciate it what are you importing????? you should just fang down in your buick
Good luck man, I hope they dont mess ya around! Mines a Chrysler 300, low and slow and a work in progress, I'll post a dodgy pic tomorrow so if you see me out stop me and say hi. I'm down there from boxing day with the family staying at the caravan park, would be good to know a few people up for a drink or 10. Andy
heading over for the first time since i moved from Melbourne, usually head over for the picnic but decided to take the family on a holiday at the beach instead lucky the Kustom nationals are just around the corner. Brad
Great pictures of some beautiful scenery and nice cars. Thanks for posting them. You might want to delete your post number 13, you reposted a spammer's post (I've reported it already) and someone might click on those red boxes by mistake. Love this nasty little A coupe. Don
Some really nice photography there. Really like the two '50 Fords. I lived in Queensland just outside of Brisbane in the late 1960's. I think I would have wrecked my car if I had seen either one of those fords on the road back then. I NEVER saw any Hot Rods or Kustoms in the entire year I lived there. I did manage to letter a race car (midget racer) and my neighbor was into Speedway Cycle racing and got me on a spare bike for a few races (crazy !) but fun. I drove an older model Holden (looked like an early Forties Chevy) and I did pinstripe a few lines on it, but no one even knew what they were at that time ????. Loved living there and often wanted to go back or retire there....you have e Great Country and glad to see that Ol Skool is alive and doing well there. Think you have room for my '51 Ford and '48 Raceboat?
Awesome man! nothing wrong with low and slow-Slug living haha. thats what the chev will be for a very long time! Yeah fantastic. I should have my chev down there, but i'll be with a trumpy bobber, maybe an olds, blue caddy and i think thats it. We and the crew are most definitely up for 10 beers haha
Excellent Brad. Its definitely a brilliant place for a holiday-holiday hot spot for me as a child-and to have the nats on at the same time, BONUS!
hey don! thanks for the kind words and noticing the spam too. really appreciate it. That time of year really does make the island a truly beautiful place-besides all the douche bag tourists! that little A coup is so bad ass. the stance is perfectly MEAN
thanks man!! all good things come to those who wait! i may be over in ADL in 2013 at some stage....a maybe though!
This illustration is bad ass! Crazy idea of a 50ish chevy front on a 40ish merc. Good thinkin Pictures are nice too, and so are the cars.
