Been looking for a new car for a while. Went to WI yesterday & looked at a 48 Ford convert. Was able to come to a deal. Drive it home yesterday, hit a little snow, but not too bad. 48 Ford convert. Welded rear fenders, welded & smoothed front fenders, 47 Olds grill, frenched headlights, nosed, decked, custom tail lights, shaved door handles, 46 ford trim, chopped 2-1/2". Rebuilt 401 Buick Nailhead, 700R4 & 9" rear. Custom dash & white interior.
Nice, a few 'street-roddy' details, but overall you should be very proud of your new ride. Thanks for showing us.
Wow...nice car! Super clean looks like a really nice build! Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
Any changes planned for it? It's a beautiful car, and looks exceptionally well built, overall I love it. There are a couple little things though that would bother me. But maybe that's just me. Good score.
tho only problem i see and i aint afraid to point it out is in pics 2,3 and 4. i see green grass and trees with leaves on them, and a convertible sitting there with its top up othe than that, nice score.
That is one nice car, congrats on finding it and taking it home. While the instrument panel would be perfect in my Model A Vicki it doesn't seem to be the perfect one for that car and I'd have to sit behind that steering wheel before deciding if it matched the theme of the car. Still I'd drive it and grin like a bear with a new tree full of honey to dig into. I'm expecting that we will see photo of that car showing up at events all over your home area and beyond next year as you put the miles on it with an ear to ear grin.
I haven't used this word yet today and it sure applies to your new '48 ...stupendous! Likewise, that front grill really works for me. I can see carrying those lines over and have you standing next to it with a wide handlebar mustache.
