The two 54s have all glass all the trim an chrome an minimal rust with straight bodies. I think the pontiac even runs. The 53 has no windows an has a few Creases an holy rust.
If the Pontiac is the only runner, I'd go with it if it has all of it's trim. Otherwise the '54 chevy is the most valuable for resale and probably has the most reproduction parts.
First off welcome. Now personally I love the '53 Chevy grill, but there's just something about the '54 that I like better. Not really into the '54 Pontiac. And forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the Styleline phased out in '52, to be replaced by the 210 in '53? But at the end of day you just need to ask yourself which one you like better.
Hi Justin, I'm a new guy, too. I'm partial to 54' Pontiacs. (I have two), I love the Chevys also, but my dad had a 53' Poncho convertible when I was small and had great memories of it, especially the lit up hood ornament. A lot of the parts are harder to find than the Chevys. The good news is the Pontiacs and Chevys Share the same floors, rockers, roofs, ect, so it's not as bad as you may think with all of the re-pop sheet metal and parts you can get for the Chevys.
