Hello to all HAMBers. My name is Kurt and I figured that it is time to introduce myself here. I have been wasting hours of what seems like every day for the past few years reading posts here on the HAMB. I finally joined this past summer, and guess what, kept reading but not posting. I figured that it was time to finally introduce myself. I am 36 years old. I love old flathead Ford coupes. I had every intention of buying one this year, but my wife and kids wanted something to ride in with me. My 3 year-old son especially loves "Hot Rods," so I didn't want to leave him, or the rest of the family, out. I ended up with a driver 57 210 2 door sedan that is more "family friendly," and I couldn't be happier, but I am sure there will be a flathead in my future someday.
Speedon--You are correct--Owl City is from Owatonna. I guess he even still lives here when he isn't on tour. joeycarpunk--Love the avatar photo. Is the salt in your blood? Hemiman51--I can't hear of the east bay without thinking of East Bay Ray of the Dead Kennedys! Beau--Were you at BTT50s this year? I think I checked some Delinquents cars. Took some pictures too. Cool stuff. If you are ever here in town and need to get away from the in-laws, my place is always open with beer or booze on hand. Chubbie--Thanks for the welcome from the south. Hope we meet sometime!
welcome from the cold north country of minnesoda dont show in the south , but you can check my cars in my profile did the 50's with the wagon was a blur did 44 shows last year
Welcome from lakeland area. I grew up around the Zumbrota and Kenyon area. I spent a lot of time in Owatonna as a kid and I know there area quite of few car guys there. Pretty cool you are involving your family into old cars. I did the same thing by picking up a 39 merc coupe a few months ago. I couldn't haul the family ,of soon to be four, anymore in my two seaters.
Welcome from the extreme western suburbs! I like Owatonna. Most of the parts I get from my local NAPA store come from there!
Welcome----My wife was from Minniesoada but I married her anyway! Glad you found a great family car to play with. By the way, you haven't been wasting your time here.
Welcome! That 210 sedan is a great family cruiser... hopefully you'll put a ton of miles on it and be able to enjoy a flattie someday soon!
